The Albertus Magnus women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Mount Ida on Wednesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action.
Despite the loss, the Falcons battled throughout the afternoon. Na'Tasha Mesidor was a part of a close No. 2 singles' match as Amy Warner took the win with a score of 7-5, 6-2. In No. 3 singles, Chantal Simmons fell to Mel Smith 6-0, 6-2 as well.
In other singles' action, Sandybell Anorga, Rebecca Weinberger and Malika Grant all dropped their singles' matches with 6-0 sets. Gina D'Agostino fell in No. 6 singles with 6-1, 6-0 sets against Nene Joachin.
Warner and Lizzy Olszewski won No. 1 doubles for Mount Ida as they defeated Anorga and Mesidor 8-1. Simmons and Grant lost in No. 2 doubles, 8-0, while D'Agostino and Haley Manson dropped an 8-0 set in No. 3 doubles.
The Falcons will travel to Saint Joseph College on Friday afternoon in West Hartford, Conn. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
