Falcons Swept by Saint Joseph College 9-0 in Women's Tennis

The Albertus Magnus women's tennis team fell to Saint Joseph College 9-0 on Friday afternoon in West Hartford, Conn.

The win gave Saint Joseph its fourth victory of the year as the Blue Jays improved to 4-8 on the year and 1-5 in league play. The Falcons are still looking for their first win of the season.

The afternoon began with three doubles' wins for Saint Joseph College as Meghan Toth and Kameshia Cooper earned an 8-1 victory in the No. 1 position over Sandybell Anorga and Na'Tasha Mesidor.  In the second position, Rebecca Weinberger and Kathryn Mitchell fell 8-0 to Lisa Wawrzynowski and Emely Chenard.

Albertus' Haley Manson and Gina D'Agostino battled in No. 3 doubles but fell 9-7. The two Falcons took a 7-6 lead but Saint Joseph's Angela Zaffetti and Julie Ann Robinson came from behind for the victory.

The Blue Jays also swept singles' competition as the Falcons took just three sets in singles' play.
