Falcons Fall to Johnson & Wales 9-0 in Women's Tennis

Despite a tough battle against a strong and talented Great Northeast Athletic Conference opponent, the Albertus Magnus women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Johnson & Wales (R.I.) on Monday afternoon in New Haven, Conn.

Sandybell Anorga played in No. 1 singles for the Falcons as she fell to Ansley Sego 6-1, 6-0 before Na'Tasha Mesidor fell to Tammy Saunders in No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-0.

Johnson & Wales picked up wins in No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 singles as the Wildcats won those matches by a pair of 6-0 sets.

Mesidor and Anorga lost in No. 1 doubles 8-0, while Tykima Thompson and Chantal Simmons lost to Joanna Kaskiw and Saunders by a score of 8-1. Gina D'Agostino and Rebecca Weinberger lost in the No. 3 position 8-0.
