The Albertus Magnus women's tennis team released its 2012 schedule on Friday announcing 12 regular-season matches for the upcoming season, including eight in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.

The Falcons open the 2012 season on Sept. 8 with a home match against non-conference opponent Mitchell at 1:00 p.m. on the Falcons' Celentano Courts in New Haven.

Albertus will play its first road match of the season at Emerson on Sept. 15 followed by a Sept. 16 match at Bay Path College in Longmeadow, Massachusetts.  Following the eventful weekend, the Falcons will kick off a four-match home stand beginning Sept. 19 against Anna Maria College.

Albertus will host Simmons in a 3:30 p.m. match on Sept. 25 as the Sharks took home the 2011 GNAC Championship title last season, their fourth consecutive crown.

The Falcons' final home match will take place on Oct. 8 against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), formerly known as Saint Joseph College. That match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Albertus will conclude its 2012 regular season with a non-conference match at St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on Oct. 14.
