The Albertus Magnus Falcons (1-3, 0-1 GNAC) women's tennis team was beaten 9-0 by the Anna Maria AMCATS (4-1, 1-0 GNAC) Saturday afternoon in Paxton, Massachusetts.

Anna Maria quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles action. Anna Maria's Jessica Gautieri and Nichole Goudreau took down Albertus' Zaida Velazco (Dominican Republic) and Sandybell Anorga (Stamford, Conn.) 8-3.

Velazco, the freshman standout, suffered her first loss of the season as she was defeated in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Anna Maria's stellar singles' play did not stop after this match as they defeated each counterpart in straight sets.

The Falcons look to rebound this Saturday as they take on the Simmons Sharks in Boston, Massachusetts.
