The Albertus Magnus women's tennis team finished the regular season with a 7-2 victory over the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, N.Y. on Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons improved to 4-7 on the year, tying the programs' most wins in the last decade.

The Falcons' No. 1 doubles' team of Zaida Velazco and Malika Grant won 9-8 in a close tie breaker before dominating No. 2 and 3 doubles.  Stephanie Thy and Sandybell Anorga downed Nancy Varughese and Kendra Michel 8-2 in the No. 2 spot, while Sogona Sacko and Teresa Piniero downed its opponents 8-1.

CNR took both No. 1 and No. 2 singles, before Grant picked up a nice win in the No. 3 position.  Grant was down 5-0 and came-from-behind to win 11-10, winning the tie-breaker 7-5 after the score was tied at 10 apiece.

The Falcons went on to dominate No. 4, 5 and 6 singles with wins for Anorga, Piniero and Sacko.
