Despite 12 kills and 20 digs from Elizabeth Williams (West Haven, Conn.) the Albertus Magnus women's volleyball team fell to Mitchell 3-2 (25-17, 23-25, 24-26, 25-21, 8-15) in a close match-up on Saturday afternoon.

Maritza Rosemond (New Haven, Conn.) dished out 24 assists and added 18 digs in the loss as Albertus drops to 0-7 on the year. Mitchell moves to 3-2 with the five-set victory.

Melissa Manning (Milford, Conn.) had 11 kills, while Nicole Acerra (East Haven, Conn.) and Krista LaBissioniere (Meriden, Conn.) recorded 19 and 23 digs, respectively.

Williams added three solo blocks on the night as Acerra and LaBissioniere both added three service aces as well.

The Falcons return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 21 in a 7:00 p.m. match at Mitchell College in New London, Conn.
