Junior Nicole Acerra (East Haven, Conn.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Acerra led the Falcons in a 4-0 week with 5.13 digs per set. The junior picked up 77 digs as the Falcons improved to 11-9 on the year.

The East Haven, Conn. native also registered 23 kills in four matches along with nine service aces and three assists.

Acerra will lead the Falcons on Thursday, Oct. 18 at Pine Manor College in the team's next match-up.
