Senior captain Krista LaBissoniere (Meriden, Conn.) earned a coveted spot in the New England Women's Volleyball Association's (NEWVA) DIII Senior Classic, after she helped lead the Falcons to 12 wins, their most since the 1996 season when the program finished the year 10-7.

The NEWVA Senior Classic, which will take place on December 2 at Babson College, is an annual event that showcases New England's top-35 DIII senior volleyball players competing in various skills competitions leading up to an all-star match.

This season, LaBissoniere proved herself to be a versatile player, finding success as both a Libero and an Outside Hitter.  LaBissoniere earned 312 digs this season, the second most of any Falcon, and the 13th most of any player in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).  Her 2.65 digs per set were eighth best in the GNAC as well.  She also ranked second among her teammates in assists with 184, while posting a solid 50 kills on the year.

LaBissoniere also managed to dominate on serve this year, as she led the Falcons with 37 service aces, and managed 0.45 service aces per set, the 10th best in the GNAC.  On September 22 against the Mariners of Mitchell College, she posted a season-high 28 assists, while adding 11 digs, two service aces and three kills in a 3-1 Falcons' victory.

She also dished out 184 assists and averaged 2.22 per set as she played a key role as a setter for the Falcons as well.

The Senior Classic's full list of honorees represents 24 different institutions from Division III volleyball programs across New England and nine different conferences.  LaBissoniere is joined in the Senior Classic by just two other GNAC volleyball players, Kenna Finlayson (Rivier College) and Yun-Ting Lee (Emmanuel College).  LaBissoniere is the first Falcon to earn a spot in the NEWVA Senior Classic under head coach Omar Ramirez.
