Women's Volleyball Falls to Suffolk 3-1

Despite a third-set rally, the Albertus Magnus women's volleyball team fell to Suffolk University 3-1 on Friday night. After dropping the first two sets with 25-16 and 25-13 scores, the Falcons battled back to win the third set 25-20.  The Rams bounced back though and took the fourth set 25-14.

Suffolk's Colbey Kennedy, a Connecticut native, recorded a match-high 19 kills and 19 digs in the Rams' victory.

Melissa Manning (Milford, Conn.) led the way once again for the Falcons, who fell to 1-4 with the second loss of the night.  Manning tallied a double-double with 10 kills and 16 digs, while sophomore libero Alyssa Puccilli (Milford, Conn.) recorded 20 digs in the contest.

Amber Cohens (Hamden, Conn.) registered seven kills for the Falcons while Amy Seliga (East Haven, Conn.) added five. Freshman Caitlin Prete (Milford, Conn.) chipped in with three kills and 12 digs.

For the second-straight match, Lily Dy (Torrington, Conn.) finished with 20 assists.

Albertus will head back up to Hellenic College in Brookline, Mass. to take on Bard at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
