Last Week: The Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team went 0-3 last week, falling at home to Mount Holyoke in non-conference play before dropping league matches against Anna Maria and Saint Joseph's (Maine) over the weekend. Albertus Magnus enters the final week of the regular season with a 6-18 overall record and an 0-9 mark in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.
This Week: Albertus Magnus closes out the year with a non-conference road clash with CCNY and a home league tri-match featuring Johnson & Wales and Lasell. All six of the team's wins have come in out of league showdowns. AMC has won three games at home and three games outside of New Haven.

Last Year Versus the Beavers: Albertus Magnus fell on the road to CCNY, 3-1, last September. The Beavers broke a 1-1 tie by taking the third and fourth games. All three games the Falcons lost were decided by three or fewer points. Ana Gomez led the charge for Albertus Magnus with a match-high 10 kills.

Last Year Against the Wildcats: Johnson & Wales defeated Albertus Magnus, 3-0, in a neutral-site clash. It was a balanced attack for the Falcons as three different players five or more kills in the setback. Defensively, Marielis Muriel led the way for Albertus Magnus with a game-high 10 digs. JWU took advantage of 11 AMC service errors and 13 Falcon receiving errors.

Last Autumn Against the Lasers: Lasell took down Albertus Magnus, 3-0, in Boston in 2015. The Falcons recorded 17 kills and 61 digs in a losing effort. Three different AMC players had 10 or more digs led by Muriel with 13 and Gomez chipped in 11. Offensively, Gomez had six kills.

NOTES:
- Freshman outside hitter Ashley David in having a stellar first fall on campus, leading the team with 146 kills, 1.92 kills per set and 201 digs. She also has amassed 17 assists, 34 service aces, while averaging 2.64 digs per set and accounting for 182.0 points.
- David is one of three players with more than 125 kills with Gomez totaling 130 and Cohens recording 131. In the middle, Marielis Muriel leads the way with 311 assists and freshman Jesselle Guzman has added 131 of her own. At the service line, Cohens has a team-best 50 aces. Defensively, David has 201 digs and classmate Nashalie Bayona is second on the team with 190.
- All six of the team's wins have come in non-conference play this fall. At home, the team is 3-5. In true road contests the squad is 2-8 and in neutral site matches the Falcons are 1-5.
- The team has four returners and five newcomers this season.
- Seven of the team's first eight games took place outside of New Haven. Last year, the squad picked up four wins away from home.
