Women's Volleyball Senior Shanaya Bradley Named to GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team

Winthrop, Mass. – Albertus Magnus College senior women's volleyball player Shanaya Bradley (Ansonia, Conn.) has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Sportsmanship Team as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Bradley and the Falcons finished the 2016 regular season two weeks ago with a 7-20 overall record and finished 12th in the GNAC with an 0-11 mark in conference action. In her second season at the helm of the program, Head Coach Vanessa Rosario guided Albertus Magnus to non-conference wins against Elms, York, Purchase, Medgar Evers and CCNY. The Falcons topped York and Medgar Evers twice this autumn and won back-to-back matches on two separate occasions.

Bradley, who primarily saw action for Albertus Magnus at the service line and on the defensive end, has appeared in 42 matches over the past three seasons for the Falcons. During her career, she has recorded 16 aces and 32 digs. This season, she has recorded her first career kill in a GNAC setback against in-state rival St. Joseph (Conn.). In 2016, she has also set new career highs in aces, digs and points. Shanaya is the daughter of Rose Bradley and is majoring in Biology.

Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 12 member institutions, 12 associate member institutions, and over 3,000 student-athletes across the New England region. Each year, the GNAC sponsors and administers 17 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunities and community involvement.
