NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus women's volleyball team lost a 3-0 non-conference match to Framingham State on Saturday afternoon at The Nest.

HIGHLIGHTS
In set one, the Rams jumped out to an 8-4 lead before the Falcons responded with three straight points, including a kill from Joismar Aviles (Hatillo, Puerto Rico). However the Rams went on a 17-5 run the rest of the way, finishing with a .433 attack percentage as they had 14 kills. Colleen Edwards (Clinton, Conn.) had four kills in the set for Albertus.
During the second set, the Rams jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never trailed. Nathalie Wallace (Rocky Hill, Conn.) had two kills for the Falcons. Again, the Rams would finish the set strong, going on a 10-4 run and finishing with a .407 attack percentage.
The Falcons held an early 5-1 lead in set three as Majo Pelaez (Armenia, Colombia) had a kill and Shalese Gordon (Bridgeport, Conn.) had an ace early on. A 12-2 run afterwards by the Rams gave them a 13-8 lead before the Falcons got within two on two separate occassions. Trailing 22-15, the Falcons went on a 6-1 run as Peleaz had three more kills during the stretch. However, the Rams scored the final two points to take the match.
