
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The recently completed 2024-25 academic year was a record-setting one in the classroom for the Albertus Magnus College Athletics Department and its student-athletes. The Falcons closed out the 2024-25 academic year with an average student-athlete GPA of 3.39. That figure is the highest single-year mark in school history.
Albertus student-athletes have finished each of the last four academic years with an average GPA above 3.2.
In total, the Falcons featured 17 programs (of 18) with an academic year GPA of 3.0 or higher, with 295 Dean's List selections.
The men's ice hockey team led all teams with a 3.93 overall GPA during the recently completed academic year, followed by the women's ice hockey team with a 3.69. Seven programs – men's ice hockey, women's ice hockey, men's golf, softball, men's tennis, women's golf and field hockey – all closed the year with a team GPA at 3.5 or higher.
The Spring, 2025 semester saw 17 teams post a GPA of 3.0 or higher. There were 146 student-athletes named to the Dean's List, with 43 student-athletes recording a 4.0.
During the Fall 2024 semester, 16 programs recorded a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. There were 149 student-athletes named to the Dean's List, with 48 student-athletes recording a 4.0.
