Title: | Head Men's Lacrosse Coach |
Chris Bronander enters his second season coaching the Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team for the 2026 season.
In his first season at the helm for the 2025 season, Bronander's team finished with a 5-10 overall record while going 2-7 in conference play. Junior Jahsai Martin-Fish (Stamford, Conn.) finished the season fifth in the GNAC with 33 caused turnovers. Goalie Nick Duryea (East Haven, Conn.) led the conference with 255 saves on the season. For their work in the classroom, Bronander had three guys named to the GNAC All-Academic team.
Bronander - an Albertus alum - previously served as an assistant men's lacrosse coach during the 2024 season, primarily as the defensive coordinator, and was also a graduate assistant from 2020-22.
Before returning to Albertus, Bronander was the assistant men's lacrosse coach and defensive coordinator at Oberlin College in Ohio for the 2023 season. While there, the school set a program record with seven student-athletes named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference teams.
Bronander has also served as the assistant men's lacrosse coach at Bridgton Academy in Maine and was the assistant coach at Milton Academy in Massachusetts.
"I am thrilled to be named the next Head Coach for the Men's Lacrosse team," Bronander said. "It will be an honor to develop this program to its highest level and assist these student-athletes in achieving their best, both on and off the field."
As a student-athlete, Bronander played four seasons at Curry College in Massachusetts from 2015-2018 as a defender. He appeared in 66 games scoring three goals with five assists in his career along with 191 ground balls and 113 caused turnovers — the most caused turnovers since the program started. He was named to the 2018 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association East-West Senior All-Star game.
Bronander earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Curry with a concentration in Management and a Master of Science Degree in Management and Organizational Leadership with a minor in Organizational Management from Albertus Magnus.
