The Great Northeast Athletic Conference named 28 Albertus Magnus College student-athletes to its 2011 Academic All-Conference team, announced this summer by the league office.
This year’s list marks the largest for the GNAC as the total number of student-athletes increased by 68 from the 2009-10 Academic All-Conference team.
The Falcons’ 28 student-athletes honored by the conference include members from 10 of its sports teams;

The conference recognized 598 student-athletes from 16 league sports on this year’s team. To be eligible for this honor a student-athlete must be in at least his or her second year of academic enrollment and must hold a cumulative 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average for the 2010-11 academic school year. The student-athlete must also be a member of a varsity team to be considered for the honor.
