HOW IT HAPPENED
Albertus Magnus would start off the match up with offensive possession, where they would have their first shot of the game within the first three minutes of the first quarter. However, first year goalkeeper Emily Hunt (Montrose, N.Y.) would have a great save. After foul after foul, from both teams, the Falcons would try to get a shot off, but junior defender Elizabeth Franzoni (Rutland, Vt.) would have the first defensive save of the game. To end the first quarter, Hunt would have three more saves. At the start of the second quarter, we would see the same narrative as the first quarter where Albertus would have the first offensive possession and first shot of the quarter. Hunt would have 2 more saves in the second quarter. Even with the one goal made by AMC, Elms would play a strong defense. The Falcons would have the lead 1-0, but the Blazers would keep their heads up going into the halftime break.
Going into the third quarter, we would again see a similar narrative, where Albertus would have offensive domination. However, Hunt would have three early saves in the beginning of the third quarter. Hunt would have three addistional saves before the end of the third quarter. At the start of the fourth quarter, even with another huge save by Hunt, AMC would score another goal early, making the score 4-0. Hunt would have one more save to end the fourth quarter, making it her 14th save of the game. With the Blazers having another strong defensive game, the Falcons would take home the win, 4-0.
