Volleyball Keeps Hot Start Going With Sweep Of Yeshiva
September 03, 2024NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team kept its undefeated start to 2024 going with a dominant 3-0 win over Yeshiva University on Tuesday evening in a non-conference match. The 3-0 start to the season is the first in program history. Majo Pelaez (Armenia, Colombia) led the way with 11 kills. The Falcons had 12 aces on the evening, including six from Alexys Signor (North Haven, Conn.) and five from Paula Matheus (Tunja-Boyaca, Colombia). Shalese Gordon (Bridgeport, Conn.) had 20 assists.

Volleyball Rallies From Two Sets Down To Beat Salem State, Sweep Curry In 2024 Opener
August 31, 2024NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College volleyball team won its first two games of the season, defeating Curry 3-0 and rallying from a two-set deficit to defeat Salem State 3-2 on Saturday afternoon at The Nest. It was the first time since 2016 the Falcons won its first two matches of the season. Majo Pelaez (Armenia, Colombia) had 10 kills in the first match followed by 24 in the second. Shalese Gordon (Bridgeport, Conn.) set a career-high with 41 assists against Salem State. In the win over Salem State, Amanda Zdru (Stratford, Conn.) notched her 1,000th career dig.
