In the first Set, the Falcons took a brief 2-1 lead, but an 8-2 run by Maritime, which included two aces from Karelys Rolon gave the Privateers the early 9-4 lead. Albertus got back to within four points on four different occassions, which included kills from Emma Fallon (Harwinton, Conn.) and Paula Matheus (Tunja-Boyaca, Colombia). The Privateers then went on an 11-2 run to close out the set, getting four kills and two aces during the run.

Set two was much more competitive early on as the teams had 12 ties and seven lead changes. Albertus took its biggest lead at 10-7. The Falcons trailed 14-12 until four straight points that included a kill from Matheus and an ace from Pelaez gave Albertus the 16-14 lead. The Falcons took their final lead at 21-20, but the Privateers scored five of the final six points to take a 2-0 match lead.

Albertus never trailed in their set three win, jumping out to a 12-3 lead as Signor had two aces early on two kills from Pelaez and one each from Gordon and Yarelis Torres (East Haven, Conn.). Maritime trimmed the lead back to 18-16, but three straight points, which included another ace by Signor made it a 21-16 game. The Falcons finished the set in fashion with three straight kills, including one by Matheus and two from Pelaez, all of which were assisted by Gordon. Nathalie Wallace (Rocky Hill, Conn.) had two kills and a block in the set.

In set four, Maritime never trailed, jumping out to an 11-4 lead. Albertus took advantage of four errors and kills from Torres and Matheus to get back to within 13-10.
