New Haven, CT - The Lasell University softball team dropped two GNAC matches to the Albertus Magnus Falcons on Friday afternoon falling by scores of 6-0 and 3-0. They now hold a 4-2 record in conference play.
Game 1
The Lasers faced a tough pitching matchup in the first game as the Falcons Annabelle Jabs limited the Lasers to just one hit. Shyanne Raccio did however provide a triple on this lone Laser hit, marking her first on the year. Abigail Fortin pitched 6 innings in the loss, allowing seven hits and striking out three batters.
Game 2
Raccio took the mound in game two of the doubleheader and had a solid performance with five strikeouts and three earned runs. Unfortunately for the Lasers, they faced another tough pitching matchup in Skylar Arent who allowed just four Laser hits and didn't allow a run. Along with her pitching, Raccio had three of the four Lasers hits in the game with two singles and another triple. Abigail Fortin would provide a single in her at-bats going 1-for-2. With the loss, Raccio falls to a 0-3 record as a starter.
Up Next - The Lasers are set to play another pair of GNAC matches on Sunday, traveling to face the Mariners of Mitchell College starting at noon.
