Saint Joseph's College's Mike Pratt hit his first home run of the season to lift the Monks over the Albertus Magnus baseball team 3-1 in the second game of the Saturday afternoon double header. The Falcons' were led by Andre Eason (Waterbury, Conn.) in the loss as he went 3-for-4 in the contest.

The Monks registered a three-run fourth inning led by Pratt's three-run homer to give the Monks a 3-1 advantage.

Albertus (2-10, 0-2 GNAC) scored its lone run in the second inning as Patrick Dornfried (Berlin, Conn.) recorded an RBI single to score Robert Gambardella (North Haven, Conn.) from third. Gambardella walked and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt then moved to third on a groundout.

Mike Barillaro (Meriden, Conn.) gave up four hits, three runs and two walks in six innings of solid work. Despite giving up the game-winning home run, Barillaro did not allow a hit until the fourth inning as a lead-off single followed by a hit batter put runners on the bases for Pratt's home run.

Nick Whittaker threw six innings and allowed four hits, one run and five walks for Saint Joe's. Andrew Devereaux closed out the game as he faced three batters in the seventh inning as he retired the side.
