A five-run third inning helped the Albertus Magnus baseball team cruise to a 10-0 victory over Lesley in game two of its non-conference double-header on Thursday. The Falcons scored the five early runs on six hits in the frame, led by three RBI doubles.

The Falcons (12-18) added four runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth to extend their lead to 9-0 before tallying the final run of the night in the sixth.

Zairis Fernandez (Winstead, Conn.) made his first career start for the Falcons on the hill as it was his second appearance of the season. The freshman pitched five shutout innings of work, while allowing five hits and two walks. He also struck out five batters, a career-high tally. Tonight's win gives Fernandez the first of his career.
