WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) unveiled its All-Conference selections for the 2022 season on Tuesday afternoon, and three members of the Albertus Magnus College baseball team were recognized. Senior infielder Matt Lewczyk (Windsor, Conn.), junior infielder Jason Sullivan (Meriden, Conn.), and junior utility player Sean Jefferson (West Haven, Conn.) all were named to the All-GNAC Third Team.

Lewczyk had a career year for the Falcons, compiling a slash line of .406/.487/.435. The senior connected for a career-best 28 hits with two doubles while scoring a career-high 10 runs and driving in nine RBIs. Lewczyk's season was highlighted by a 4-for-5 day at the plate against Rivier University on April 14, when he helped guide the Falcons to a 16-2 win after tallying three RBIs and two runs scored.

Sullivan set career-highs in almost every major statistical category in his third collegiate season. The junior recorded new career marks in RBIs (23), runs (20), doubles (7), and home runs (3). He was also a steady defender, compiling 30 put-outs and 35 assists while turning one double play at the hot corner and at shortstop. Sullivan racked up seven multi-hit games, including a 3-for-3 performance with a home run in an 8-4 win over Purchase State on April 18.

Like Lewczyk and Sullivan, Jefferson reached new heights in his collegiate career in 2022. The junior set new career-highs with 28 hits, 26 RBIs, 17 runs, five home runs, and a .308 batting average. The West Haven, Conn., native finished the year tied for eighth in the conference with five dingers. In addition, Jefferson tallied a pair of three-hit games, doing so in GNAC wins over both Rivier and Colby-Sawyer College.

Senior hurler Michael Pepe (Cheshire, Conn.) was named to the 2022 GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Pepe appeared in eight games for the Falcons, with a career-high six starts. He pitched 28.0 innings with a 5.79 ERA and 11 strikeouts.
