HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Emmanuel netted seven straight points to open the first five minutes of regulation before Daniels posted a three-point bucket that halted the home's scoring run. A minute later, Albertus made another three-pointer by Jeyson Slade (Stamford, Conn.) to cut the deficit to one with 14 minutes remaining in the opening half.
  • With 8:29 left in the half, a Deivone Tanksley (Hartford, Conn.) jumper gave the Falcons their first lead of the game. Albertus Magnus extended their lead to four following a pair of free throws by Daniels, but a Donte Pope mid-range jumper and a Mahari Guerrier layup brought the Saints back level at 19.
  • In the first half, Crawford's lone three-point basket at 3:36 gave the Falcons its third lead of the night, 22-19, but the three-point lead was short-lived as Cameron Snowden's layup brought the home team within one 17 seconds later. The two sides traded baskets for the remainder of the half and went into the break in a deadlock at 26-26.
  • A hot second-half start by the Falcons allowed the visitors to take and grow the lead to 11 at 46-35 less than five minutes into the half. Washington ignited the run with a made layup 16 seconds into the half and was helped along by three straight baskets by Daniels, including a pair of threes. Five unanswered points from Cameron Snowden just minutes later cut the Falcons lead to five.
  • That deficit was quickly extended again after a 14-2 run that put the Falcons up 59-46 with just under eight minutes to go. Albertus Magnus was able to hang on to their advantage throughout the remainder of the game including 14 made shots at the line, six off the hands of Crawford, to defeat Emmanuel 76-67.
