HOW IT HAPPENED
The AMCATS opened the game's scoring 4:50 into the evening contest, with Cam Tobey beating Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario) stick side on a breakaway attempt. Lukas Radina fed a streaking Tobey, who finished the job to put the home team up 1-0.

Albertus answered with a Cameron Weitzman (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec) power-play strike at the 11:02 mark. With a 4-on-3 advantage, Alex Gagnon (Montreal, Quebec) found an open Weitzman on the right side of the zone for the goal. Dino Antoniadis (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) earned his first point of the season with an assist on the game-tying score.

The Falcons took a 2-1 lead early in the second period on freshman Jordan Sgro's (Derry, Pa.) first-career goal. Allan found the rookie in the offensive zone to give the visitors a 2-1 lead after two. Jack Hannan (Kent, Conn.) also got on the scoresheet with a secondary assist on the goal.

Albertus began to pull away in the third period, scoring the frame's first two goals to take a 4-1 advantage. Charles Risk (Medicine Hat, Alberta) tallied the Falcons' third goal at the 3:49 mark, as he riffled an Antoniadis' pass top shelf over the opposing keeper. Gagnon tallied his second assist of the night on the goal.

Allan continued Albertus' scoring ways by finding the back of the net just 28 seconds after Risk. Set up in front of the goal, Allan tipped a Ryan Herpy (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) shot from the top of the zone past the goalie to give the Falcons a 4-1 lead. Hannan was credidted with his second assist of the game on the Allan goal.

However, the AMCATS would not stay down long as the home team cut its deficit in half, 4-2, with 14:32 left in the contest. On the attack, Samson Mouland rocketed a pass along the crease that found Radina for an easy score.

Anna Maria scored again 11 minutes into the third on a power-play to draw the score to 4-3. With an extra man, Guillaume Coulombe buried a rebound off a Tobey shot.

The Falcons added an insurance goal with 6:32 remaining in the third to take a 5-3 lead. Freshman Jonathan Stein (Vancouver, British Columbia) beat the opposing goalie low after he came off the crease to try and stop the puck. Risk tallied his second point of the evening with an assist, while freshman Nick Durajlija (Hamilton, Ontario) tallied his first-career point.

The action continued to pick up in the final minute, as both teams netted goals. Anna Maria scored first on a 4-on-4 chance, while Allan netted his second goal and third point on an empty-net tally off a pass from Sgro. After the flurry of goals, the game's final score settled at 6-4 for a Falcons' victory.

In net for Albertus, sophomore transfer Bateman picked up his first victory with the team, making 27 saves on 31 shots in a complete-game effort.
