BOX SCORE

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Despite controlling the action for much of the first period, the Falcons trailed heading into the second after Patrick Murphy scored at the 15:55 mark of the frame.
  • It did not take AMC long to answer in the second period, as Alex Gagnon (Montreal, Quebec) netted his seventh goal of the season just 22 seconds into the stanza to even the score at 1-1.
  • JJ Berdal (Wausau, Wis.) set up the play by ripping a shot from the top of the zone that was saved and deflected to Gagnon for the cleanup score.

  • Albertus took its first advantage of the night at the 13:03 mark of the second on a strike from freshman Caden Pattison (Lake Stevens, Wash.).
  • Luke James (Moon Township, Pa.) started the play by sending a pass in front of the crease that moved the keeper out of position, giving Pattison enough space to score to the top half of the cage.

  • AMC's third goal at the 4:31 mark of the third came off a faceoff, as Ryan Colwell (Plainedge, N.Y.) won the draw before sending a pass to Bradey Farrell (Burrillville, R.I.), whose saved shot was rebounded by a driving Tyler Ignazzitto (Bath, Ontario) for a second-chance tally.

  • Farrell put the finishing touches on a Falcons' win by recording his first collegiate goal at the 14:24 mark.
  • On a breakaway chance, Cameron Weitzman (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec) fed a streaking Farrell with a pass to the goalie's stick side that Farrell cashed in on for the goal to make it a 4-1 final.

  • Between the pipes, Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario) posted his eighth win of the season behind 14 saves.
