HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bertamini put the Falcons on the board late in the first period on the power-play as he hit a low shot into far low corner of the net after a pass from Tyler Ignazzitto (Bath, Ontario) moments prior.
- The Huskies took the lead after two goals in the second period. The first coming from Conor Donovan at 3:18 in the second on a 3-on-2 breakaway, as he took a one-timer off a pass from Jeff Pollara. On the power play at the 11:21 mark, Matt Sullivan gave the Huskies the lead taking a pass from Owen Arend and snapping a shot from the left faceoff circle pas Albertus goaltender, Matt Lenz (Grapevine, TX) to make it a 2-1 game, which would remain the score heading into the third period.
- On the power play at 3:29 of the third period, Van Antwerp scored his first career goal as he took a loose puck that popped out after a scrum in front of the net and fired home a shot past Southern Maine goaltender, Mason Palmer to tie the game, 2-2. Robert Barrasso (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) and Peter Keese (Minnetonka, MN) each had an assist on the goal.
- Manning gave the Falcons the lead less than two minutes later in the third as he raced down the last three quarters of the ice and took a shot at a tough angle over the shoulder of Palmer to make it a 3-2 game.
- At the 6:59 mark, Dann scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal as Hicks made a shot pass to him behind the net and he wrapped his stick around the net and snuck the puck in to put Albertus ahead, 4-2.
- The Huskies then scored on a power-play along with an extra man with 1:04 left to make it a 4-3 game, but the Falcons were able to withstand the final 64 seconds and preserve the win.
