The Lasell Lasers scored 20 goals against the Falcons to record a 20-6 dominating victory over the Albertus Magnus Falcons Wednesday afternoon at Celentano Field in New Haven, Conn.  Josh Gallant and Casey Sulivan led all point totals with five a piece. The Lasers improve to 5-4 on the season and 4-0 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) while the Falcons fall to 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the GNAC.

The first quarter of the contest did not show the final score any justice as the teams were very even. After Lasell's goal by Andrew Suh just 40 seconds into the game, sophomore Ryan Brown (Monroe, Conn.) answered right back with a goal of his own just four minutes later. The first quarter ended 3-2 in favor of the Lasers. Lasell obtained much of the possession in the quarter but would be quickly gained over by Justin Bennett (Fairfield, Conn.) who was a very good faceoff man in the first quarter. Bennett won four out of the first six faceoffs of the game and ended the game 13 for 29 for the game against various faceoff specialists for the lasers.

The Lasers started to pull away in the second quarter as they scored five consecutive goals. Lasell shot 20 times and on eight occasions, the ball found the back of the cage. Sullivan and Suh connected on three goals each within the quarter.

Greg Buck (Berlin, Conn.) led the Falcons in points with four. Choiniere scored one goal and dished out two assists. Greg Buck (Berlin, Conn.) added four goals to his season total. Buck had his best goal in the third period as he stayed persistent on a play. After a shot was blocked bythe goalkeeper with 2:38 left in the third quarter, Buck scooped the ball from the ground into the back of the net for his third goal of the night. Buck now has a team-high 27 goals on the year.

Lasell shared the ball well for much of the second half and gave opportunities to a variety of players. Throughout the contest, 14 different players recorded at least one point and 21 different players recorded a ground ball.

Tucker Johns (Monteville, Conn.) and Brandon Scicchitano (Norwalk, Conn.) split time between the pipes and accounted for 16 saves. Scicchitano had 14 while Johns earned 2. Lasell shot the ball 59 times compared to 25 shots from the Falcons for the game. Lasell also beat Albertus in groundballs 39-23.

The Falcons look to bounce back in another GNAC conference game against Daniel Webster College. The game will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, April 5th at Celentano Field in New Haven Conn.
