HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons opened the game's scoring in the first half, with Stewart finding the back of the net on the man up with 9:09 left in the first quarter. Jon Olson (Bellmore, N.Y.) found Stewart on the right side of the crease, where he turned and beat the keeper above his stick.

After a Mariners' goal tied the game at 1-1 heading into the second quarter, Albertus stormed ahead by a score of 3-1 behind back-to-back goals. Cody Walczak (Higganun, Conn.) scored by diving towards the goal and burying a Stewart pass for the tally. Stewart continued his hot day with the next goal, cashing in on a Zaheim Wilkins (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) pass while the Falcons were man up.

Mitchell broke up the Falcons' scoring streak at the 11:25 mark before starting another one with the following two goals. Wilkins netted his first goal of the day at the 8:09 mark on a pass from Mykel Stinson (Bridgeport, Conn.) to make it 4-2 Albertus. Derek Ralston (Guilford, Conn.) made it 5-2 with 6:06 remaining with a goal from an assist from Walczak.

Sandwich between two Mariners' goals, the Falcons cashed in on three straight scores to set an 8-4 advantage at halftime. Kader Price (Walden, N.Y.) found Olson for the first goal with 3:20 left in the half before scoring a goal of his own about a minute-and-a-half later on a pass from Stinson. Stinson then scored the Falcons' final tally of the half with 1:11 on the clock.

The Mariners kicked off the third quarter with back-to-back goals to cut their deficit to two, 8-6, with 9:55 on the clock. Stewart answered with his third goal of the day following a Jayme Toro (East Haven, Conn.) faceoff win that the junior midfielder picked up and quickly fed Stewart for the score.

Unfortunately for the Falcons, Mitchell ended the third quarter on a 4-2 run to send the game to the fourth, with Albertus clutching an 11-10 advantage. Price and Stewart accounted for both of the Falcons' goals to end the quarter.

Stewart opened the fourth with his fifth tally of the evening, sneaking a shovel shot past the keeper off of a Stinson pass to give the Falcons a 12-10 lead with 12:53 remaining in regulation.

Stewart's goal stood as Albertus' last of the game, as the Mariners found the back of the net at the 10:08 and 2:29 marks to force overtime. Mitchell's Jade Shields ended the contest 36 seconds into OT with his third goal of the night to give the visitors the comeback win.
