HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons began today's game with the opening goal, scoring 2:37 into the contest. Andrew Ten (Trumbull, Conn.) found the back of the net first for Albertus. Ten fired a pass from Luzzi into the top-right corner of the cage to kick off the game's scoring.

Rivier answered with the bout's next eight goals. As a result, the Raiders built an 8-1 advantage by the 12:24 mark of the second quarter.

Albertus held Riv off the scoreboard for the next 8:09 before scoring with 4:15 left in the first half. Luzzi netted his first goal of the day by face-dodging one defender before bouncing a shot past the keeper.

Unfortunately for the Falcons, the Raiders added six more unanswered goals to their tally to take a 14-2 lead with 3:08 left in the third.

Toro brought an end to the Falcons' scoring drought with 3:08 remaining in the third. On the man-up, Toro drove from the left side of the zone and beat a defender before scoring past the keeper on his left side.

The Raiders tallied four of the game's final five goals to earn an 18-4 GNAC victory. Cody Walczak (Killingworth, Conn.) recorded AMC's final goal at the 7:59 mark of the fourth. Again on the man-up, Walczak set up right in front of the crease, where Toro found him for the score.
