STANDISH, Me. - Senior goalie Dane Walsh (Bethany, Conn.) tallied his second collegiate goal in Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse's 16-1 road defeat to Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Friday afternoon in Standish, Maine. Walsh scored from around 70 yards away from the goal on a clear attempt. He also made 20 saves between the pipes.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Monks opened today's game with the first goal, taking a 1-0 lead 2:36 into the contest. Albertus quickly answered to tie the game at 1-all by the 6:20 mark. Walsh found the back of the net from about 70-yards out, firing a shot on a clear attempt that snuck by the opposing keeper. The goal is the second of Walsh's career, his first with the goalie stick. 

Unfortunately for Albertus, Saint Joseph's went on to tally the final 15 goals of the game. By the end of their scoring run, the Monks clinched a 16-1 home victory.

In addition to scoring a goal, Walsh made 20 saves in a busy effort between the pipes. The senior keeper has made 18+ saves in seven consecutive games.
