SALEM, Mass. — Derrick Mejia (Bridgeport, Conn.) and Lassana Dior Fofana (Bronx, N.Y.) connected for their first career goals in the Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team's 21-3 loss at Salem State University on Saturday.
Meija recorded two goals in the third period, while Anthony Brikes (Staten Island, N.Y.) notched his first career assist on the Falcons' first goal of the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Salem State opened the first period with a 5-0 run highlighted by a pair of goals from Fisher Gadbois.
- Gadbois added three more goals in the second period as the home team tallied 11 unanswered goals before halftime.
- Albertus finally broke the drought as Mejia netted the first goal of the game for the Falcons with 5:47 gone in the third. Brikes brought the ball from midfield to down behind the goal for the over-the-net pass to Mejia for the quick and high goal from the crease.
- Less than three minutes later, the junior netted his second goal of the quarter. Jay Abella (Staten Island, N.Y.) caught the ball off the pass from Nick Duryea (East Haven, Conn.) before sprinting through midfield following a pass to Mejia in the offensive zone. Mejia stood alone against a trio of Vikings for the goal at 6:41 in the third.
- Fofana accounted for the visitor's final goal in the fourth after taking it the length of the field following a successful clear.
