NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team lost a 16-3 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game to Saint Joseph's College (Maine) on Friday evening as the Falcons closed out their home schedule at Celentano Field.

Cooper Strecker (Chester, Conn.) scored twice for the Falcons while Jeremy Tremblay (Orford, Quebec) had a goal and an assist.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Monks scored the first six goals of the game, that included three goals by Calvin Heline to take a 6-0 lead at the 3:48 mark. 
• Tremblay put the Falcons on the board with a goal off a pass from Zayre Bradley (Norwalk, Conn.) as Albertus made it a 6-1 game heading into the second quarter.
• After the Monks scored the first three goals of the second quarter, Strecker made it a 9-2 game with 5:58 left in the half as Strecker ran from behind the net after a restart, beating his defender and taking a diving shot attempt past SJC goalie, Liam Greene.
• Noah Schaeffer scored three times, included two player-up goals in the second quarter and helped the Monks take a 14-2 lead into halftime.
• Strecker scored the lone goal for the Falcons in the second half taking a precision pass from Tremblay from 20 yards out right next to the goal and putting away his second tally of the game, making it a 14-3 game with 11:41 on the clock in the third quarter.
• The Monks scored twice in the fourth quarter.
