Men's Soccer Edged in Defensive Battle Against Endicott

BEVERLEY, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team was locked in a defensive battle against the Gulls of Endicott College Thursday evening but were just bested, 1-0, in road non-conference play in Beverly, Mass.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Gulls took the first lead of the game in the seventh minute when Jason Brodeur buried a penalty kick to make it a 1-0 contest.
• The Endicott penalty goal served as the game's only score, as the Gulls held on to earn a 1-0 home victory.
• Albertus finished the contest with five shots, with Gabriel Paglia (Amity, Conn.) and Ben Pierce (Meriden, Conn.) each recording a shot on goal.
• In net for AMC, David Lucero (East Haven, Conn.) made a season-high six saves on seven shots.
