HOW IT HAPPENED

Norwich scored early in the sixth minute as Nathan Statires took a cross from Kyle Dunn and headed it in for an early 1-0 lead.

Just eight minutes later, however, the Falcons got on the board as Roger Baldwin (New Haven, Conn.) took a strike from the top of the box that deflected off a Norwich defender and out of reach of the outstretched arms of Nicolas Lanza to make it a 1-1 game.

In the 31st minute, Norwich again took a one-goal lead as Diego Fuentes took a strike from 25 yards out that found the back of the net, making it a 2-1 game.

With Norwich still holding a lead midway through the second half, the Falcons kept on pressuring the Cadets, seemingly destined for another goal. In the 68th minute, Johan Stagnaro (East Hartford, Conn.) made a heads-up play on a restart. After a whistle, Stagnaro placed the ball down for a free kick and did not allow the Cadets' defense to get set and took a shot from 40 yards out with Lanza out of place and tied the match at 2-2.

In the 85th minute, a pass from Norwich's Cullen Swett into the box got past an Albertus defender and Jami Lashua had a wide-open shot at the net and converted to give Cadets a 3-2 lead, and the eventual win.
