
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against New England College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match on Saturday afternoon at Celentano Field.
Bennett Walsh (Springfield, Conn.) scored his first goal of the season for the lone goal of the game for the Falcons.
The Pilgrims scored a goal with 6.8 seconds in regulation to tie the game.
David Lucero (East Haven, Conn.) had five saves in goal for Albertus.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams had their fair share of scoring chances in the first half. However, no one was able to get one in the back of the net as the two teams remained scoreless heading into halftime. Albertus had five shots on net in the first 45 minutes, while NEC had three.
- In the 66th minute, the Falcons finally broke the scoreless tie as Walsh redirected a free kick by Aiden Coelho (Naugatuck, Conn.) into the back of the net to make it a 1-0 match.
- With the clock winding down, a throw-in to the 18-yard box was tapped by Erik Corbin to Eddy Nyemah who was able to get his shot past the goal line with 6.8 seconds left to tie the game.
