The Albertus Magnus College Women's Basketball Team took advantage of a 7-0 run with just under 13 minutes remaining in the first half and didn't relinquish the lead the rest of the game on its way to an 87-70 victory over GNAC opponent Mount Ida College. The Lady Falcons shot over 50 percent from the field and over 60 percent from beyond the arc. The Lady Falcons featured a balanced scoring attack with senior forward Krystal Bryant (New Haven, CT) scoring a team high 20 points to go along with 15 rebounds. Junior center Kendrea Walker (New Haven, CT) added 18 points and 13 rebounds on a day that saw the Lady Falcons out rebound Mount Ida 59-28. Mount Ida College was lead by freshman guard Missy Collins (East Hartford, CT) who scored a game high 21 points including five three point baskets. The Lady Falcons improve to 3-9, 1-1 GNAC while Mount Ida College drops to 7-8, 0-2 GNAC. The Lady Falcons host St. Joe's (CT) on Saturday with a 1:00 PM tip-off.
