Winthrop, Mass. – After historic senior seasons, Albertus Magnus College women's basketball's Shyla Osmond (New Haven, Conn.) and Rah-Rah Thompson (Bridgeport, Conn.) collected First Team All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) honors, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Osmond took home first team accolades for the second consecutive season after posting strong numbers all over the court for the Falcons. The local product from New Haven was the lone player in the conference to average at least 20 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, with marks of 23.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game.

Osmond's stats were so impressive that the senior ranked in the top 10 of all of Division III in six statistical categories. Osmond finished the year second in triple doubles (3), third in both points per game (23.8) and field goals made (219), fourth in assists per game (7.0), eighth in total points (570) and total assists (167).

Making her first appearance on the first team was Thompson, who capped her impressive career with her best season ever. The product of Bridgeport, Conn., paced the conference with 15.2 rebounds per game, while being fifth in scoring with 16.7 points per game. Thompson was one of the most dominant rebounders in the country, ranking first in DIII with 10.0 defensive rebounds per game and second in total rebounds (364) and rebounds per game (15.2).

Freshman Beatriz Honorio (Bridgeport, Conn.) was Albertus' representative on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team. The 5-foot, 9-inch forward played a key role for the team from day one, being one of just two players to appear in all 26 games this season. Honorio made 14 starts and averaged 3.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 25.8 minutes per game.
