WINTHROP, Mass. – For the fifth time in eight weeks this season, Jakara Murray-Leach (Norwalk, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon.

Murray-Leach paced the Falcons in a 3-0 week with 21.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.7 steals, and 3.0 blocks across three GNAC contests. The sophomore shot 42.9% (30-70 FG) overall from the floor, including 53.8% (28-52) on two-points attempts. Murray-Leach opened the week with 19 points, eight rebounds, and six steals in a 63-48 home win over Colby-Sawyer on Tuesday. She added 22 points, six rebounds, six blocks, and two steals to her total in a 71-58 home victory over Regis (Mass.) on Thursday before the five-time GNAC Player of the Week capped off the Falcons' three-game stretch with 24 points and a career-high 19 rebounds against Anna Maria on Saturday in an 82-59 win.

The Falcons hit the court again on Wednesday, Jan. 11, for a 5:30 p.m. home battle between the top two teams in the GNAC South Division at "The Nest".
