HARTFORD, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's ice hockey team lost a 6-0 game to Trinity College (Conn.) on Sunday evening.
Christmas Johnson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) stopped a career-high 46 shots for the Falcons as the two teams met for the first time ever.
Jelani Adorno led Trinity with two goals on the day on six shots.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Adorno got the Bantams on the board at the 8:19 mark of the first period on an assist from Annabelle Merkel. Johnson was able to stop the other 14 shots she faced to keep it a one-goal deficit. The Falcons had all four of their shots on goal in the first period. Tori Walsh (Marystown, Newfoundland) had two shots, while Kayla Clark (Avon, Conn.) and Amber DeJonge (Grand Rapids, Mich.) each had one.
In the second period, the Bantams scored just nine seconds in as Marta Mazzocchi scored right off the opening faceoff. The score remained 2-0 for the next 17 minutes until Adorno scored a power-play goal at the 17:26 mark, followed by a goal just 25 seconds later by Corinne Bolding to put Trinity up 4-0 heading into the third. Johnson stopped 17 shots in the second period.
The third period started similarly to the second as the Bantams scored inside a minute as Corrine Bolding scored at the 49 second mark. Trinity would add one more goal in the third for the final tally.
