The Albertus Magnus women's lacrosse team dropped a 20-1 decision to Norwich University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Saturday afternoon in Northfield, Vt.

Norwich (4-1) scored 12 unanswered goals in the opening half to take a 12-0 lead into the halftime break before netting eight more in the second half of play.

The Cadets led 15-0 before Albertus got on the scoreboard in the second half.  Halle Altieri (Guilford, Conn.) scored her fourth goal of the season, tying the program-lead in that category.

The Cadets were led by Holly Lutz, Larissa Gokey, and Chapel Guarnieri with three goals apiece.

Miranda Jassil (North Branford, Conn.) led the Falcons with five shots, while Altieri added four.  Senior Kelsey Proctor (Guilford, Conn.) also tallied a shot but it was saved by Norwich's Rebecca Horgan.

Horgan improved to 2-0 on the year with the win, while Erika Blechert (Durham, Conn.) finished the contest with 15 saves in 60 minutes of work for the Falcons.

Albertus drops to 0-7 both on the year and in GNAC play with the loss.  The Falcons will host Mount Ida College at 3:30 p.m. in their next contest.  That match-up is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8.
