
BRONX, N.Y. - The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team fell on the road to the Privateers of SUNY Maritime by a final score of 21-5 on Monday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.
Alexandra Barrett (Northford, Conn.) and Keegan Riccio (West Haven, Conn.) each tallied a team-high two goals, while Kaitlin D'Agostino (Hamden, Conn.) recorded one goal. Barrett also registered two assists for the Falcons.

The Privateers came out of the gate with five consecutive goals in the first five minutes of the game until a goal from Barrett at the 9:16 mark ended the hosts' streak, bringing the score to 5-1.

Maritime closed out the first period tallying seven additional goals to take a commanding 12-1 lead over the Falcons.

The Privateers struck first in the second period with a goal two minutes from Morgan Tracy, but the Falcons countered back with a good goal from D'Agostino following a nice feed from Barrett with 10:54 left on the clock.

Shortly after, the Privateers increased their lead by 12, 14-2, when Avery Jillson Neuwirth scored off an assist by Mary Cirelli.

With one second on the clock, Riccio scored her first of the game off a pass from Barrett to bring the score to 14-3 before the halftime buzzer.

Emily Commodore opened up the third period with an unassisted goal for the Privateers at the 10:11 mark before the Falcons sprung into action with back-to-back goals from Riccio and Barrett to cut the deficit to 10, 15-5.

The Falcons saw the lead grow back to 12, 17-5, at the end of three quarters following a pair of goals from Cirelli.

The Falcons could not find the back of the net in the fourth period, conceding four goals in the final 15 minutes to end the game at 21-5.
