New London, CT - Junior forward Sam Gigliotti (Wilton, CT) scored the first two goals of the game and assisted on another leading Albertus Magnus to a 4-2 win over Coast Guard in the season opener for both teams.  Gigliotti scored in the 10th minute off an assist from junior midfielder Jenna Riccio (Northford, CT). Gigliotti then gave the Falcons a 2-0 lead in the 21st minute with an unassisted goal.  Coast Guard cut the deficit in half on a goal by senior Katie Kurek in the 32nd minute with freshman Katie Romas assisting.  Sophomore forward Krystal Quinones (Bridgeport, CT) scored just 48 seconds into the second half with freshman forward Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, CT) assisting as the Falcons took a 3-1 lead.  The Bears benefited from an own goal in the 61st minute cutting the lead to 3-2, but the Falcons scored 27 seconds later on a goal by Figueroa with Gigliotti assisting to close the scoring.  The Lady Falcons outshot Coast Guard by an impressive 27-6 margin.  Junior keeper Christina Oddo (East Haven, CT) made a pair of saves and picked up the win.
