Lady Falcons Win Eighth Straight Game 4-0 Over Emerson

Boston, MA - Junior forward Krystal Quinones (Bridgeport, CT/Notre Dame Fairfield) wasted little time scoring in just the 3rd minute of play on a rebound finish from senior forward Samantha Gigliotti (Wolctt, CT/Sacred Heart Waterbury) to give Albertus the 1-0 lead.  Albertus would cruise to a 4-0 victory taking sole possesion of first place in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference standings.  Albertus (8-2, 5-0 GNAC) is in the midst of a program record eight game winning streak and is the only undefeated team left in the GNAC.

Sophomore forward Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, CT/Notre Dame Fairfield) finished a pass from sophomore defender Jillian Rix (East Lyme, CT/East Lyme) in the 18th minute as she drilled a shot from the right side at 16 yards to the lower left corner of the net to double the lead.  The Lady Falcons would score just four minutes later as junior midfielder Brittney Geremia (Northford, CT/North Branford) blasted a hard shot off the goalkeeper that freshman forward Brittany Ross (Ansonia, CT/Ansonia) put into the back of the net to give Albertus the 3-0 lead.

Gigliotti finished a goal of her own for the final goal of the game.  Sophmore defender Samantha Farley (Shelton, CT/Shelton) sent Gigliotti on a breakaway down the left center that she finished in the 62nd minute of play.
