Four Women's Soccer players named to GNAC All-Conference Team

New Haven, CT - An outstanding 10-7-1 regular season finish, and a trip to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tournament as the #5 seed was enough to yield four All-Conference awards for the 2010 Albertus Magnus College Women's Soccer team. 

Junior defender Sarah Boudreau (Pascoag, RI/Burrillville) was named 1st Team All-Conference after another strong season for the Falcon defense.  Sarah was a crucial part of the team's seven shutouts during the season while contributing three goals and one assist.

 

Sophomore forward Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, CT/Notre Dame Fairfield) was named 3rd Team All-Conference after a stellar offensive season for the Falcons.  Figueroa led the Falcons in goals (12), shots (64), and points (25) despite missing four games due to injury.  She ranked 5th in game winning goals, 7th in the GNAC in goals, 9th in points, and 9th in shots in the GNAC this season.

 

Sophomore defender Samantha Farley (Shelton, CT/Shelton) was named 3rd Team All-Conference after a strong season playing in the back for the Falcons.  Farley led a strong Falcons' defense that had seven shutouts during the season while contributing a goal of her own during the season.

 

Freshman goal keeper Christina Dineson (Milford, CT/Foran) was named 3rd Team All-Conference after an outstanding rookie campaign for the Falcons.  Dineson played in 13 games and had an impressive 1.41 Goals against average while making 56 saves and earning three shutouts.
