Senior Shannon Skidmore (Terryville, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus women's soccer team has been named to the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England All-Star Second Team, as announced by the league office over the weekend.

Skidmore was most recently named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III All-New England Region First Team after becoming the Falcons first-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer Defensive Player of the Year.

She was named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team for the first time in her career and finished the year with two goals for four points.  She led a Falcons' defense that recorded 10 team shutouts on the year, while allowing just 17 goals scored.

Albertus had its most successful season in program history, recording a season-best 14 victories in 2013, while making its way to the ECAC Tournament final where the Falcons lost to Wheaton College (Mass.) 1-0 in the Championship game.
