Women’s Soccer Earns NSCAA Ethics/Sportsmanship Honors

Led by head coach Nick Wajnowski '06, Albertus Magnus College is one of 254 Division III women's soccer programs to be named a 2013 NSCAA Ethics/Sportsmanship Award Winner as the Falcons' earned the NSCAA's Silver Team Ethics Award.

The annual award winners are divided into three teams, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, which recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game as reflected by the number of cautions throughout the season. 

The Falcons' claimed the Silver Award, which is given to teams that accumulate no red cards and less than five yellow cards throughout the season. The Gold honor is given to teams for completing the entire season without receiving either a yellow or red card, while Bronze is presented to teams that receive no red cards and less than 10 yellows.

Albertus was one of 157 teams that received the Silver Award at the Division III level, while 26 programs earned Gold recognition.

The Falcons had a stellar season as they finished 2013 with an 14-5-3 overall record and made an ECAC Tournament Championship game appearance. The program also made its fifth consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) postseason appearance.
