The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match 1-0 on a rainy Saturday afternoon against Lasell College.

Lasell senior forward Bridget Lynch (Dover, N.H.) scored the lone goal of the contest in the 50th minute as a result of a Falcons miscue.  The Falcons failed to clear a Lasell corner kick from the box before Lynch found the back of the net.

Junior keeper Maria Case (West Haven, Conn.) had five saves for the Falcons, playing well in the defeat.  Sophomore midfielder Danielle Polvan (East Haven, Conn.) made several dangerous runs forward out of the midfield for Albertus, but both of her efforts on frame were saved by Lasell.

The Lasell College women's soccer team, the defending GNAC champions improved to 7-4, 5-0 GNAC while the Falcons dropped to 5-6-1, 2-2-1 GNAC.

The Falcons return to action on Wednesday at Celentano field when they play host to Simmons College at 4:00 p.m.
