Bravo Notches A Goal, But Women's Soccer Loses To Norwich

NORTHFIELD, Vt – Ejalam Bravo (New Britain, Conn.) scored a goal, but the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team lost a 2-1 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match to Norwich University on Saturday evening.

Bravo's goal, her third of the year came in the 27th minute, which tied the game at 1-1. Emma Devico (Waterbury, Conn.) made her first start in net, stopping three shots on the evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Cadets got on the board in the tenth minute on a penalty kick from Lindsey Duggan to stake them to an early 1-0 lead after Norwich was tripped in the box.
  • On Bravo's goal,Tyler Stocking fed a ball into the box. With a defender draped on Bravo, she managed to get a shot off as Norwich goalkeeper Rebecca Karis was coming out of the net, tying the match at 1-1.
  • The game remained even going into halftime, but the Cadets got on the board in the 60th minute as Bella Roy collided with Albertus goalkeeper on a header off a free kick from Lindsey Duggan to make it a 2-1 match, which would be the eventual game-winner.
