Falcons Soar with 6-3 Win over Becker CollegeApril 15, 2010New Haven, CT - The Falcons got a long awaited win over non conference foe Becker College. Coach Palmer said that this was one of the most exciting matches he has ever been a part of. The Falcons won 2 out of 3 doubles matches with phenomenal doubles play by Teo D'Elia (Chesire, CT) and John Fetzner (East Haven, CT) at #1 doubles.

Falcons Fall to John Jay 9-0April 14, 2010Flushing, NY - The match vs John Jay was a great experience for the young Falcons. The match was played at the Billie Jean King National tennis center, a mecca for tennis players. The Albertus Falcons played adjacent to Arthur Ashe Court where the US OPEN finals are held every year.

Falcons Fall 7-2 to HarfordApril 11, 2010New Haven, CT - The Falcons faced a top ten Junior college and lost 7-2 to Harford CC located in Maryland. Once again the # 2 doubles team of Tim Gabbard (North Haven, CT) and Gerald O'Connor (Hamden, CT) won for the second consecutive match. Making them 2-0 on the weekend.

Falcons Drop 7-2 Decision to JWUApril 10, 2010New Haven, CT - The Albertus Magnus College Men's Tennis team has seen much improvement from the beginning of the season. Despite a 7-2 loss to conference foe Johnson and Wales University, Coach Palmer has seen his team turn it around as of late. Coach Palmer said that his players are finding a way to win on the court.

Falcons Drop Decision to SuffolkApril 03, 2010The Falcons dropped to 1-5 and 0-2 in the GNAC on Saturday afternoon. Despite losing 9-0 to an outstanding Suffolk University, Coach Palmer said that he saw his team play the best tennis he has seen them play all year. "If we continue to play tennis like this we should rack up some wins in the second half of the season," stated Palmer.

Falcons Tennis Team Drops 6-3 Decision to LesleyMarch 28, 2010New Haven, CT - Albertus Magnus fell to Lesley university in a match that could have been won by either team. Each team struggled in the cold weather and each point was a battle. Albertus went down 2-1 in doubles play. The # 2 doubles team of Tim Gabbard ( North Haven, CT) and Gerald O'Connor (Hamden, CT) were victorious.

Falcons Fall to Emerson College 9-0March 27, 2010Boston, MA - Even though the men's tennis team fell 9-0 to Emerson college at the Boston Athletic Club, Head Coach Brian Palmer saw his team take a step in the right direction. The Falcons men's tennis team is showing a lot of potential despite the 9-0 loss. John Fetzner played Allesandro Bellino at # 1 singles and fought for every point.

2010 Men's Tennis PreviewMarch 17, 2010The 2010 Men's tennis team is determined to make the playoffs this year after having the chance slip through their fingers last season when they needed to beat Johnson and Wales University in their last match and lost a hard fought battle in Rhode island. The Falcons are still young, but have a lot more experience with three sophmores this year who started in every match last season.

Howard's Two Goals Soar Albertus Over ElmsSeptember 17, 2009The Albertus Magnus College Men's Soccer team cruised to a 4-1 victory over visiting Elms College. The Falcons were led by sophomore forward Jamal Howard (West Haven, CT) who scored in the 5th minute of play and later in the 37th minute to give Albertus a 2-1 half-time lead.

Men's Tennis Season ReviewApril 25, 2009The Falcons were a young team in 2009, with four freshman playing 1-4 singles. The Falcons finished with a 4-6 record and had a shot to make the playoffs right up until the end of the season. The Falcons produced two All Conference players during the season.
